I am in the 4% group on your ablbum poll. Sorry. I think it is to busy and does not reflect your music style. I find "Angel in the shadows" more to my liking for your style of music. Hitman, Been listening and practicing drums to "The Pretty one" for quite some time. This Man is The Original Master of the Funk groove.Of all of the music that I've heard and practiced to,I've yet to hear anyone like "The Pretty One". Many try to capture his sound and style, but are unsuccessful.His "ghost Notes" on the Hi-Hat are very tough to duplicate. I've been playing drums for 31 years of my life, and I can honestly say that actually sitting behind my kits and practicing to Bernard's material is very challenging.People that actually don't play drums can't actually have a clue how Great this man really is.I had a friend of mine, who is not a drummer, sit down behind my kit, and try to play Steely Dan's "The Fez" and after a couple of seconds he realized just how Great Bernard really is. Hi all
Just found the following post on the Hitman's website and I feel I need to clarify what actually happened:
"Sunday night was supposed to be a solo acoustic gig as a warm up for the main act, "The Last Picture Show". At 7:00 pm, Cat called to say they had canceled and told all their people about it the night before, but didn't tell the club owner until just then.Nice of them, right?"
I was ill in bed with tonsilitis and cancelled our performance around lunchtime that day. The promoter hadn't checked his answerphone which is not my fault. As for ringing around the day before to tell people we weren't playing, that is an utter fabrication, totally untrue. I'm really disappointed to see such things printed about myself when they aren't true. I can only apologise for not playing that night but, if the night wasn't a success, I would say it's a large part to do with the promoters lack of advertising and us being used as a scapegoat.

I did a search on my first LuV's name, Jay Sharkey, and wallah! I knew a Jay Sharkey from Bklyn, NY back in the sixties. We went steady for a while then he moved to Long Island. The long distance for two fifteen year olds was too much, but even then Jay was a Star, he was multi talented, and the first time I saw him he was on stage performing by himself. Playing the piano and singing. It was love at first sight. I cried a sea of tears when we lost each other. Well, if it's not the same Jay, you guys Rock!

I was at the Teamsters concert with my wife, remember, you said you knew she wasn't a tourist because she was carrying a bag. We live round the corner on 15th and she was out shopping and rang to tell me to hop over to 14th because there was some 'fantastic' music.How right she was. I got there for the last 30 minutes. Great stuff and every member of the band fitted in like a perfect jigsaw puzzle. The guy with the heart transplant was very gutsy, too.My wife was first up after the show to buy the CD. Keep us in touch with the band. I'm a playwright and my new play goes up in Manhattan in November - so come and see it if you can...Jan Hus Theatre, East 74th & 1st starting November 25.
